Wall Ball

Tactical Focus:
Consistency
Designate a playing area that includes a wall.
Partners work together to maintain a rally for as long as possible against a wall.
Players can start off by throwing and catching the ball and then progressively moving to more complex methods of sending the ball away (e.g. striking with open hands, striking with paddles).
Each time, encourage players to try to beat their previous score for the number of times they can successfully maintain a rally.

Multi-Person Wall Ball: Increase the number of players.
Competitive Wall Ball: Player tries to bounce ball off the wall, then the ground, so that competitor cannot retrieve it.
Double Bounce Wall Ball: Ball must bounce first off ground, then wall, then ground again, before being caught.
Reverse Wall Ball: Ball must bounce first off ground, then wall, before being caught.

Where should you stand to try to be in position to receive the ball? Move into a position that allows you to quickly get to the ball (i.e. the recovery position in the middle of the court).
What are dangerous parts on the court to make it difficult for your partner to return the shot? Corners, close to the wall, at the back

Allow the ball to bounce twice before catching it.
Place a marker on the ground to indicate where the players should stand when throwing the ball.
Tape a square on the wall to give players a visual cue of where to throw the ball.
Kick the ball against the wall
